Principal · Former Judge. Thirty-three years of practice. A seat, once, on the other side of the bench.
Michael Roth was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1993 and joined his father at the Law Offices of Roth & Roth, where they tried cases together for more than eighteen years. He held the Arizona Board–Certified Specialist in Criminal Law designation for fifteen years — a rigorous credential reflecting proven proficiency, peer review, and ongoing continuing education, held by only a handful of Arizona attorneys. From 1998 to 2000 he served as a Pro-Tem Judge in the City of Goodyear, and from 2002 to 2013 he served as President of the Arizona Ignition Interlock Association. This is a vantage point few defense attorneys have.
That combination — defense attorney, judge, and Arizona entrepreneur in interlock and treatment — gives the firm an unusual command of how a DUI or criminal case actually moves through the Arizona system. We have worked on both sides of the courtroom and both sides of compliance. We know what the prosecution is looking for. We know what the MVD needs. We know what the judge wants to see.
His practice spans criminal defense, DUI and extreme DUI, complex fraud and RICO matters, contract and commercial litigation, cannabis and cannabusiness law, personal injury, product liability, and medical-provider compliance. Insider knowledge of the ignition-interlock, screening, and treatment ecosystem — built through Safe Harbor LLC and Alternative Education Solutions — gives the firm an unusual command of how DUI and criminal cases actually move through the Arizona system.
